High-performance transparent dyes for resins from the French company STARDUST are intense liquid pigments that give resins a vivid, saturated, translucent color.

Very good results are obtained by using them in epoxy resins, polyester resins, polyurethane resins, acrylic resins, acrylic paints and varnishes, solvent varnishes – they give bright and deep colors, transmitting light and staining them. These are dyes designed for indoor use.

They are characterized by excellent miscibility, high compatibility with different types of materials and very good UV resistance.

The dyes are very easy to use: just add one drop (0.1% to 2%) to the total weight of the transparent mixture of resin (component A) and hardener (component B).  Depending on the thickness of the resin and the concentration of shades, the color effect will be darker or lighter.

For example, in a red shade, you can get a pinkish hue (low concentration) or a dark red – almost like wine (high concentration) by adding more or less dye.

The color palette is about 23 transparent concentrated colors, supplied in 17 ml bottles. Bottles have a convenient dispenser – you will never pour more than you need.

The dye does not shear – allowing safe coloring without the risk of lumps.

Usage:

Note: the dyes are highly concentrated!  The photos may differ in color from the final result due to the type of resin used. Color samples in for dye demonstration were made with Finer Uni and Finer DEEP resins. .

1. ALWAYS DO A TEST ON A SMALL SAMPLE BEFORE USING THE DYE WITH THE TARGET AMOUNT OF RESIN
2. Wear safety goggles before use!
3. Shake the bottle well
4. Due to the strong concentration of the dye, first perform a test on a sample of the resin mixture (component A + component B) to know, the strength of the color dye
5. Add dye to the prepared mixture one drop at a time to control the amount of dye. The more drops, the stronger the opacity and intensity of the color
6. Stir the dye into the resin until the concentrated dye is completely mixed. If you want to leave streaks of dye, 2-3 stirs are enough.
7. With fast-curing resins, it is recommended to mix the resin with a sample and then add the hardener and mix the whole thing.

The dyes are odorless, miscible, solvent-based (1-methoxy-2-propanol) and mix well in both solvents and water.
